De La Cruz Unveils First 2024 Campaign Ad, “American Dream”

McAllen, Texas — September 3, 2024
 – Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz proudly released her first 2024 campaign ad today, titled “American Dream,” a heartfelt tribute to her deep Texas roots and her relentless dedication to the promise of our country. You can watch it by clicking here

The ad begins with Congresswoman De La Cruz reflecting on her humble beginnings, stating, “My story started here, on a farm where my abuelo worked to provide for our family. But for me, it was pressing shirts, putting myself through college. Hard work made my American Dream a reality.”

The 30-second spot highlights her journey from a small business owner to a dedicated public servant who now represents her community in Congress. It underscores her unwavering commitment to fighting for the values that matter most to the people of South Texas: border security, lowering costs for working families, and safeguarding Social Security and Medicare for our seniors.

In her first term in Congress, Monica De La Cruz has co-sponsored over 200 pieces of legislation, worked across the aisle to pass five of her bills with bipartisan support, and successfully secured over $25 million in funding for her district for projects ranging from improvements to McAllen International Airport to support for domestic violence victims. Her dedication to service, common sense, and her ability to get things done are evident in every aspect of her work.
